Far and Away Farm is located on 23 secluded acres, minutes from Dublin off of Route 33. Built in 2002, the facility includes a 22 stall barn with an attached indoor arena and heated viewing lounge with full kitchen and locker room. An all weather ring, a grass ring, 13 paddocks and 10 acres of open riding area complete the ideal training facility for both horse and rider. |

Jenniffer Tommerdahl - Owner
Jenniffer, the wife of the late Brian Tommerdahl, continued the passion she shared with her husband by building the current Far and Away Farm facility. Together Michael and Jenniffer share the responsibilities of running a boarding, training, showing and sales facility catering to the needs of the serious equine enthusiasts in the greater Columbus area.

Michael Howell - Trainer
Michael started riding at age 11 years old and competed in the Children’s and Junior Hunters. As an Adult Amateur, Michael trained under Brian Tommerdahl as a working student for two years and then under other top professionals such as David Belford and Chris Payne of New Hope Farm. Michael turned professional in 2004 and has helped to build Far and Away Farm into a top Hunter/Jumper facility. He is an OHJA board member, a learner judge in the process of receiving his “r”, and in 2010, was voted Trainer of the Year and received the Sportsmanship Award by OHJA. Michael is also the founder and show manager for Equivents which runs the Far and Away Horse Show Series. This local show series is the first in Ohio to offer USHJA Outreach Classes and will be featured in the IN STRIDE Magazine. |

Adie Amarose - Trainer
Adie showed in her first horse show at 18 months. She continued to show as a junior, training and catch riding ponies for many prestigious trainers and also in the amateurs as an adult. Adie has been a top Hunter/Jumper and Equitation professional in Ohio for the past 24 years. She has started students in the Lead Line classes and trained them to the win in the Grand Prix. Adie’s clients and horses have won 8 National USEF Awards and numerous Championships at the AA horse shows including 35 championships in just 2009 alone. She speciaIizes in matching her riders with the most appropriate horse/ pony and giving her students the skills and confidence to achieve their goals. In her spare time, Adie judges local member horse shows and has a BS in Nursing from Ohio State University. |
